(picture 2) Candy Cane Water Marble Nail art |
You would be needing:
For a candy cane design, I used the color Fantasy Red and the White Satin by Caronia |
a cup full of water |
tapes to cover and surround the nail for your skin not to be in contact with the nail polish |
A tooth pick for the lines and design |
Procedures:
First you have to cover each of your fingers to avoid contact with the nail polish
Now that your fingers are ready, prepare the water, add at least 10 drops of the Fantasy Red color Nail polish, keep dropping on the center of the cup. (As shown in the picture below)
Now that you've put the first color, add at least 4 drops of the white Satin nail polish at the center, also.
Add another 3 drops of the first color, the Fantasy Red. Now that you have a ring of white nail polish at the center, you can already draw lines from it using your toothpick.
Draw the lines from side to side of your cup, repeat it until the white ring disappears showing only the lines you made.
Now, prepare to dip your fingers into the cup. Once you've placed your fingers, hold still, remove first the nail polish surrounding your fingers before removing it from the water to avoid distortion of the design on your nails.
Upon removal of your fingers from the water, this is what it would look like.
Remove the tape you used to cover your fingers and you can see the result of your art. It is your job to remove the excess nail polish on your fingers that wasn't covered by the tape using a cotton bud with an acetone.
To finish up, polish your nails using colorless nail polish.
You can also use different colors of your choice for a water marble nail art. (black and white, blue and yellow, yellow and black, etc.)
I think nail arts are better for people with wide and longer nails so that the designs can be more seen and appreciated.
P.S If you did not cover your fingers, your work would be messy and your whole finger would be covered with nail polish. ( picture 3) Unless you're a cosplayer and that's the result you want.
