It's been seven months since I last posted here. As usual, I was busy, focused on school matters, was hella busy of my pretending-to-be-a-nerd student life. So much for school stuff, the reason why I was able to post and talk to you guys is because I finally had time to type and update my blog. It's time to rest my brain cells, it's time for Christmas! woooo :D
Aren't you guys excited? Cause I am. Excited not because of the presents I wish to receive (because to be honest I don't usually receive anything during Christmas- I was never disappointed tho) but because four days to go and It's Jesus birthday! :)
I haven't prepared for that special day yet--- haven't wrapped the gifts, no idea what food to prepare for that day (since I was assigned for the dessert). --Seems like I still have many things to prepare for Christmas. You could help me out. Let's start making our To-do List for Christmas in case we forget something ♥
To-do List for Christmas
#1 Prepare your house for the event, make it a Home. ♥
Aside from the colorful and expensive Christmas lights and decorations your family designed for your house, don't forget to add Love and make it a Home ♥
You don't really have to do it in-order. You should consider that everyone deserves a gift for that very special day.
Asking of what you can give for a present? Consider the cost and the number of presents you'll be giving.
- For a group of people, you can give the same item for everyone (you can just have variety of colors for the same item). In that way you can save time and money. This would avoid comparison of gifts each member of the group will receive.
- For a special someone, For me (and I think you guys would also agree) it'd be great to receive something you can really use. Better think of an item that you think won't be wasted if given. Take note of that person's "favorites". If you're having a hard time knowing what's his/her favorite color or something, better give him/her something sweet. Yes! FOOOOD :) (Something like cakes, candies, chocolates). Nobody's gonna say no to that!! To add up to your cheesiness, you can give your present in a SURPRISE manner. Not only you can make her 'kilig', she would also be able to share that 'sweets' to her loved ones this Christmas. Remember guys, Christmas is the season for sharing! LOL
- For your family, you're the one who knows what would make your loved ones happy. :)
If you don't have your own recipe, you could use Mr. Google's help and search for the recipes that are usually served during Christmas Season. If you believe in Feng Shui, don't forget to add some sticky foods like kakanin, halaya and suman to your table!
#4 Attend the mass on the actual day, 25th of December. (If possible, complete the 9 days of Misa de Gallo)
It's actually included in the Ten Commandments. The fourth Commandment says, " You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy." And that includes Christmas and New Year. (I remember our parish priest said, "Ignore the rest of the Sundays of this Year but never the..." then he started mentioning important dates when Catholics should attend and hear the mass. It's all about Love, Faith and Jesus, anyways ♥
#5 Make Christmas special. More special. ♥
People always talk about 'sharing' and giving during Christmas. Why not make it something more special? Like forgiving persons that hurt you. Forgetting the past that gave you nothing but headaches (and heartache). Why not do the Reverse Bittering technique? (people out there who knows Ramon Bautista would get this) Out of the failures and not so happy experiences you had, you can make something good out of it. Take even a minute or two from your busy day and tell this to yourself, "This Christmas I'm good. Next Christmas, I'll be better. ♥ "
I think we've completed the list. Or did I forget something? :)
-'Till next post!♥
