It's Hidden.

I do not really sketch all the time,
I am not a total artist.

I can not make a portrait or an art in just a wink like how the passionate artists do,
 not literally but, metaphorically.
I  don't even know how I end up finishing the sketches, well, let's say pleasing enough to the eyes.

To be honest, I just discovered this talent of mine, last year (2012).
My first attempt of sketching resulted and looked like a caricature.
I wasn't confident enough to show it to my friends, but then, glad they liked it.

You know that feeling, when they actually recognized who's in your drawing? ☺

(Sorry about the low quality-photos, I just used my camera phone for these that's why.)

WHO'S WHO

  • The one with the inverted photo, is my brother.
  • The only girl is my elementary best friend (I just hope we're still best friends until now.)
  • The guy with a crucifix necklace, he's a special friend of mine.

These drawings above can be found on the pages of my wonder doodle book
'twas given to me by Sandy (follow her on Everything Sandy) on my 18 birthday.
-Yepp, she knows me that well.
(Again,  I'm not used to sketch pads - I'll try it next time, tho)

My hand does not always work and create nice drawings. (Righty)
It has to feel the "artist aura" first before it actually sketch its way to express itself or just to kill boredom.
-I'm weird like that.

I'm an artsy person, Yes.
 - I am Right brained.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

HARBOUR SQUARE

One of the nicest place to go If you just want to hang out, chill and party after a long day from work or school.

(2012) Retrieved from: happyinmanila.multiply.com

It is best to go and visit the place when the sun is about to set. The lights surrounding the Coconut trees that lines the walkway and the restaurants beside the Bay of Manila adds to the seaside ambiance. There are live bands, more than a dozen of restaurants, and occasional night bazaars making it a good hangout place for friends, couples and family.

It is located along the Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. Near Star City, one of the most famous amusement parks in Manila, and along the side of Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP Complex).

Friends and I went to a bar located inside the square.
It's called JSA

There, we stayed and had fun. Celebrating Valentines with your friends is just epic!

We've been planning to do this and we're all glad we finally had the chance to do so.

We set rules before leaving Dasmarinas
  • Drink responsibly
  • When someone offers you a drink, do not, I said, do not accept it.
  • Do not give away your number If ever a stranger approached you and asked for it.
  • Never leave the table without anyone, (according to a friend, there were incidents that some people put drugs in the drinks.)
So, there, the place was so alive, music was loud, everyone was dancing and singing along with the music at the same time.

The Story of St. Valentine

02- 14- 13

So Today's Valentine's day huh?

When hearts are everywhere and RED is all over the place. Malls are crowded, vacation places and  fancy restaurants are fully booked, and probably motels and hotels are, too. Holding hands while walking, blushing faces, "i love you's" everywhere, and smell of the roses and perfume because dissolved particles or molecules move from a more concentrated area to a less concentrated area, or what we called diffusion. (Nerd alert*)  People are indeed, happy and in love, specially t♥day.

Bet you've once wondered... Why celebrate Valentine's Day? Who is Valentine anyway?
And for sure, you would think that the story behind Valentine's day is a "happy" story. It's actually not.
Curious? Let me tell you about the story behind it...

Valentine is a priest. He lives in Rome during the third century. That time, the place was ruled by an emperor Claudius.

The emperor wanted to build a big army. He wanted every men to join his army. Unfortunately, only few men applied because most of the men don't want fight and it is enough reason for them to not leave their families and loved ones. Emperor Claudius was furious. He thought that If marriages continue, his plan won't be possible. That time on he decided to not allow any more marriages.

Since Valentine's a priest, one of his favorite things to do is to marry couples. And for him, the emperor's idea is just crazy. Even after the emperor passed the law, he continued marrying couples, secretly. Yes. Just him, the bride, and the groom inside a candlelit room.

One day, while he whispers the words of the ceremony, footsteps were heard from the outside. Good thing the couple escaped. But he was caught. He was thrown to jail and the emperor proclaimed that his punishment was death. He tried to stay calm though.

During the imprisonment, people visit him just to throw flowers and notes to his window. Notes, saying that they agree to the priest's decision to continue marrying couples, even if it's against the emperor's will. They wanted him to know that, they too, believe in Love. One of them was the daughter of the jail guard, who's always there to visit and talk to him even for hours.

The day came that he's to die, he left his friend a note saying, "Love from your Valentine"

And from that day on, people continue to spread the love and exchange love messages on Valentine's day. St. Valentine died on February 14 269 A.D - That, until now, people remember.

And hey, for you, Dear Emperor Claudius,
now you know, Love can not be beaten!

Love and Friendship, the ingredients of Valentine's day. ♥

Happy Valentines Day to y♥u!

till next post.

I notice everything.

Well said.

Not too much.

I don't really know what to write or type in this blank space in front of me right now.  I don't actually have any idea or topic to start a new post with.

There's just sooo many things I have in mind right now that makes me feel, let's say, sad. And I don't know what to do about it. I tried every little thing I can do to lessen it and pass time, like:

✓ I listened to music - which made it worse. (shuffling the playlist didn't help.- cause every songs related to something.)
✓ I ate a lot of sweets - not good for le precious teeth
✓ I made portraits of anyone who has a picture on my phone - I ended up getting tired of it and just sleep.
✓I draw anything that crosses my mind or I write it down. -thanks to my wonder doodle book.
Hang out with friends - nothings changed LOL
✓ I sleep a lot - almost got to class late because I overslept. Not a good idea

Tell me what else to do. It's making me crazy. I think too much. I tend to give a lot. I always forget to keep some for myself. It's eating up my everything. I'm just trying to stand up from it and balance the situation. I'm just trying to understand.

I don't know...
But for now, I'm going to hold on to this message above.

 -maybe because
#1 I have no idea of what's going on yet.
#2 I don't wanna have to jump into conclusions and stress myself.
#3 I want to stay positive and act my age.

Or maybe, just maybe... there really is no problem and It's just me creating one in my mind.

I just hope I'm not ruining anything.

till next post.

Covers

The title of this post says it all. This post will be about covers I made.

I don't usually do covers, specially If my face would be seen (Cause I'm a total shy girl) - like recording it through video. I don't think my face is nice enough to be exposed. Ha Ha!  My brother used his magic charms on me so... yea we made one. I didn't like the result though, but people loved it. My brother bought a CD so he could install the app, named MixCraft. Thought of doing my own- so I posted everything on Souncloud.com - A site where you can share your music. You'd be notified about who's following you, how many have listened to it, who liked your music and who re-posted it.

Songs I've covered include

  • Pag-ibig by Yeng Constantino
  • Valentine by Kina Grannis
  • Impossible by Shontelle
  • Terrified by Katharine Mcphee feat. Zachary Levi

Try making your own ;)

To-do List for Christmas ♥

Heya, Loves!

It's been seven months since I last posted here. As usual, I was busy, focused on school matters, was hella busy of my pretending-to-be-a-nerd student life. So much for school stuff, the reason why I was able to post and talk to you guys is because I finally had time to type and update my blog. It's time to rest my brain cells, it's time for Christmas! woooo :D

Aren't you guys excited? Cause I am. Excited not because of the presents I wish to receive (because to be honest I don't usually receive anything during Christmas- I was  never disappointed tho)  but because four days to go and It's Jesus birthday! :)

I haven't prepared for that special day yet--- haven't wrapped the gifts, no idea what food to prepare for that day (since I was assigned for the dessert). --Seems like I still have many things to prepare for Christmas. You could help me out. Let's start making our To-do List for Christmas in case we forget something ♥

To-do List for Christmas

#1 Prepare your house for the event, make it a Home. ♥
Aside from the colorful and expensive Christmas lights and decorations your family designed for your house, don't forget to add Love and make it a Home ♥

#2 Make a list of the persons you wish to receive your presents.
You don't really have to do it in-order. You should consider that everyone deserves a gift for that very special day.

Asking of what you can give for a present? Consider the cost and the number of presents you'll be giving.
  • For a group of people, you can give the same item for everyone (you can just have variety of colors for the same item). In that way you can save time and money. This would avoid comparison of gifts each member of the group will receive.
  • For a special someone, For me (and I think you guys would also agree)  it'd be great to receive something you can really use.  Better think of an item that you think won't be wasted if given. Take note of that person's "favorites". If you're having a hard time knowing what's his/her favorite color or something, better give him/her something sweet. Yes! FOOOOD :) (Something like cakes, candies, chocolates). Nobody's gonna say no to that!! To add up to your cheesiness, you can give your present in a SURPRISE manner. Not only you can make her 'kilig', she would also be able to share that 'sweets' to her loved ones this Christmas. Remember guys, Christmas is the season for sharing! LOL
  • For your family, you're the one who knows what would make your loved ones happy.  :)
#3 Make a list of what food to prepare for Noche Buena
If you don't have your own recipe, you could use Mr. Google's help and search for the recipes that are usually served during Christmas Season. If you believe in Feng Shui, don't forget to add some sticky foods like kakanin, halaya and suman to your table

#4 Attend the mass on the actual day, 25th of December. (If possible, complete the 9 days of Misa de Gallo)

It's actually included in the Ten Commandments. The fourth Commandment says, " You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy." And that includes Christmas and New Year. (I remember our parish priest said, "Ignore the rest of the Sundays of this Year but never the..."  then he started mentioning important dates when Catholics should attend and hear the mass. It's all about Love, Faith and Jesus, anyways ♥

#5 Make Christmas special. More special.
People always talk about 'sharing' and giving during Christmas. Why not make it something more special? Like forgiving persons that hurt you. Forgetting the past that gave you nothing but headaches (and heartache). Why not do the Reverse Bittering technique? (people out there who knows Ramon Bautista would get this) Out of the failures and not so happy experiences you had, you can make something good out of it. Take even  a minute or two from your busy day and tell this to yourself, "This Christmas I'm good. Next Christmas, I'll be better. ♥ "

I think we've completed the list. Or did I forget something? :)

-'Till next post!♥
